[What the role is]

Muis is initiating the development of a higher educational institution as part of the larger plans to strengthen the education and training opportunities for Singapore’s Islamic scholars and teachers. The institution is envisioned to offer tertiary level programmes.

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile IT professional to lead all aspects of our information technology infrastructure and services.

[What you will be working on]
- Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with institutional goals
- Manage and maintain all IT systems, including network infrastructure, servers, and databases
- Oversee information security, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
- Develop and implement comprehensive IT policies and procedures, including:

- Knowledge management policy
- Data protection policy
- Intellectual property policy
- IT resources usage policy
- Student feedback mechanism policy
- Plan, procure, and implement an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system or services
- Co-manage the development of a digital repository, library system, and portal
- Conceptualise, procure, and implement key systems, including but not restricted to:

- Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
- Learning Management System (LMS)
- Plagiarism detection software
- School Management System
- Establish and maintain a robust student feedback system
- Provide user support and troubleshooting for staff, faculty, and students
- Support research computing needs across academic departments
- Manage IT vendors, contracts, and procurement processes
- Manage the IT budget effectively
- Train staff and faculty on IT systems and best practices
- Plan and implement disaster recovery and business continuity measures
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance college operations
- Collaborate with academic departments to ensure proper management of intellectual property and research data

[What we are looking for]
- Tertiary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in IT management, preferably in higher education
- Strong knowledge of network administration, database management, and information security
- Experience with ERP systems, learning management systems, and school management systems
- Familiarity with data protection regulations and intellectual property laws
- Experience in digital repository and library system implementation
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong leadership and policy development skills
- Experience in knowledge management and implementing feedback systems
- Proficiency in project management and vendor selection
