Director, Building Management System Apac

**Your role**

The Director - Building Management Systems plays an integral role of managing existing technology while developing the technical and vendor roadmaps to introduce promising technologies that improve customer and shareholder value. This is a hands-on technical position that requires collaboration and coordination with the Design & Construction, Technical Operations and Sales Engineering teams to ensure a consistent and replicable solution is being delivered and maintained Globally. As Digital Realty leverages technology platforms, the Director BMS, is key to the integration of Automated Control & Monitoring Systems into a platform that is predictable in terms of benefit and behavior at scale

**What you’ll do**
- Support the Design & Construction teams in the design, delivery and commissioning of new projects. Ensure alarms are integrated into the alarm database and are being delivered to site operation team hand held device
- Support the Global Engineering and Innovation team in building standards and reference architecture for BMS platforms
- Lead the day-to-day operational aspects of the company’s BMS and alarm monitoring systems.
- Qualify all BMS vendors and implement company procurement procedures including managing projects, developing RFPs, and analyzing total cost of ownership.
- Be a point of escalation and provide guidance and direction to the site teams during incidents/events affecting site operation and implement new standards to reduce incidents.

**What you’ll need**
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science preferred.
- At least ten years of experience in the management of building control, monitoring, and alarm systems for Data Centers or Critical Facilities.
- Advanced technical skills in BMS products from Schneider Electric, Siemens, Honeywell, Automatic Logic, Johnson Controls or Tridium. Advanced technical knowledge in Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM), Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Automated Control Systems (ACS), network, and digital communication systems are also required.
- Demonstrated expertise in design and operation of critical MEP infrastructure, including multiple types of Uninterruptible Power Systems, Emergency Power Systems, water-cooled and air-cooled air conditioning systems, and critical data center electrical and mechanical distribution systems
- Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret complex project documents and to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
