**The role**

As an Health Insurance Consultant, you will take a strong role in supporting business development and work as part of a team on a wide variety of complex projects which include health insurance pricing and valuation, M&A, market research, health and life insurance analytics work.

In addition, as a firm with a strong technology backbone, we would expect you to be comfortable with building propositions off our technology to provide a comprehensive solution to the client.

**Performance Objectives**:
**Clients**
- Participate in business development activities. You may be supporting in business development activities across all our areas of expertise, not restricted to life insurance.
- Work with the team in developing go-to-market propositions.
- Deliver superior, consistent project management for assigned clients
- Draft statements of work, project plans and budgets involving multiple workflow streams and client teams
- Serve as the day to day project lead, ensuring the progress of the team against established objectives, budget, timeline, deliverables and quality standards
- Serve as primary, daily contact to clients on delivery of services
- Manage client expectations and raise appropriate issues to Senior Leaders and Client Relationship Managers
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary consulting or joint client-consultant team to analyze issues and develop value-added solutions
- Interface with colleagues from other practices and regions on assignments that reflect the client’s broader business issues
- Develop a trusted advisor relationship with client contacts through effective communication and efficient, quality execution of projects

**Financial**
- Contribute to sales and marketing efforts by drafting proposals and responding to RFPs
- Meet billable hours targets

**Excellence**:

- Strong technical knowledge of Health Insurance pricing and valuation.
- Supporting new business opportunities and proposals (and service offerings) which both meet client needs and ensure that Willis Towers Watson generates reasonable levels of profitable growth.
- Maintain and develop own technical and industry knowledge.
- Contribute to the development of new tools and approaches.

**People**
- Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams
- Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients/colleagues at all levels
- Serve as mentor to project team associates

**The Requirements**
- 6-8 years of relevant experience
- Holds a Bachelor Degree in Actuarial Science
- Strong technical knowledge in Health Insurance pricing and valuation
- Experience in Health Insurance Analytics
- Possess strong analytical skillset
- Good to have Qualified or part qualified actuary certification
- Experience in the Health Insurance claims process is a bonus
- Significant experience of successfully adding value to client business results
- Ability to think out of the box, creative skills
- Strong client relationship, interpersonal and team skills
- Well-developed verbal communication skills
- Self-starter attitude and ability to work within ambiguity
- Flexibility and proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues
- Enjoy training/mentoring junior staff
- The ability to see the "big picture," leveraging the resources of related practices to address the clients' business challenges
- Availability to travel on an as needed basis
