**Job Description**:
This role is responsible for business development with funders, institutions, corporations, and government bodies to deliver commercial growth in Southeast Asia. The post holder will work in close collaboration with senior commercial and editorial staff; marketing teams; as well as other T&F stakeholders. Their goal will be to deliver revenue and support profit objectives; develop strategic customer relationships with relevant bodies, and, under direction of T&F commercial leaders, ensure we maximise opportunities to provide holistic solutions. Reporting into Head of Sales, Online Resources, you will develop our publishing services to better service the academic, professional and corporate markets in Southeast Asia.

**Location**:
- Flexible working is offered with this role (be that remote, in the office or hybrid), however the ability to attend in-person events or training in Singapore will be required (post-Covid)

- Establish, maintain and develop C-Suite relationships with key customer groups; researchers and research leaders, funders, societies and institutions, commercial, professional and academic as well as government and regulatory bodies
- Develop with key stakeholders, and get approval for, a 1-3 year business plan, ensuring that activity is both relevant and flexible to the evolving trading environment over time
- Continually develop the T&F brand and profile, building increasing awareness by representation externally e.g. on working party groups or through networks, maintaining a presence and information gathering role on the scholarly environment
- Build relationships with potential customer groups within government and funding agencies
- Generating and seeking out potential new opportunities for development of new products, services, and partnerships
- Other tasks as necessary and specific to role
**Qualifications**:
**More about you**:
- Process preferably at least 3 years experience in business development and project management capabilities in Southeast Asia
- An analytical mind in financial forecasts, market & customer data, business intelligence, marketing plans etc.
- Knowledge of the Open Science/Research space, the academic publishing industry and the wider scholarly eco-system
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
- Proficient in Microsoft office, SalesForce, PowerBI, etc
- Experience in academic publishing would be a plus
