**Job Description Summary**

This position will be part of a team that manage the general account and ILP funds that invest in external mandates/funds within Equities. Reporting to the Head of Global Equities, this role will consistently deliver alpha from investments in equity markets, with a focus on risk control as per agreed volatility budget/constraints of each portfolio.
- Work closely with the Head of Global Equities to lead and drive idea generation and fund selection/due diligence, to meet the portfolio’s overall risk and return targets.
- Provide regular analysis and assessment of individual fund ideas, including regular manager review, including where needed to develop and drive fund selection framework.
- Build research expertise and develop analytical tools to support decision making by the Head of Global Equities for the overall equity program, and propose recommendations and solutions required for global equities allocation.
- Keep abreast of relevant global developments in the capital markets so as to help in idea generation for the overall portfolio and provide the Global equities team’s input into the Listed equities process.
- Conduct regular review and monitoring of fund ideas to ensure that they meet their investment objectives within the program.
