Channel Sales Leader (Consumer/FMCG)
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Channel Sales Leader in Modern Trade to join our reputable Consumer Business Group in 3M. Reporting to the Singapore and Malaysia Country Sales Leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving our sales growth through effective management of channel partners and leading a high-performing sales team. This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for a results-oriented professional with a proven track record in sales leadership within the FMCG industry.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead and motivate a sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans, ensuring alignment with the company's objectives and market trends.
- Manage and nurture relationships with channel partners, ensuring effective collaboration and maximizing business opportunities.
- Identify and evaluate potential channel partners, negotiate contracts, and establish mutually beneficial relationships.
- Continuously monitor market trends, competitive activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for growth.
- Provide coaching, training, and guidance to the sales team, promoting their professional development and enhancing their performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, supply chain, and finance, to drive seamless operations and optimize sales outcomes.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, set goals, and provide constructive feedback to team members to enhance their effectiveness.
- Monitor sales metrics, prepare accurate reports, and present findings to senior management for strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in leading sales teams in Modern Trade (Grocery/Pharmacy/Stationery Channels).
- Experienced in Trading Terms negotiation, trade planning and execution, key accounts development, new market development and O+O strategies and capabilities.
- Proven track record of successfully managing channel partners and driving revenue growth.
- Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills to navigate complex business relationships effectively.
- Strong ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and make sound business decisions.
- Resilient and able to manage stress in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends to drive informed decision-making.
- Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse sales team.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field
