**Key Responsibilities**
- Global P&L Analysis and Reviews- Assist internal clients (e.g. other departments) with reports, research and other activities.- Identify items or discussion or resolution.- Respond to audit and regulator queries on a timely basis.
- Governance and Quality Assurance- Archive records to satisfy audit and statutory requirements.-
- Maintain oversight of the data structure of source and general ledger systems to ensure accurate reporting of financial information.
- Manage Relationship with 3rd Parties (Auditors, Business Units, Public Authorities, Tax Authorities, etc.)- Support the building of trust with external stakeholders including auditors and regulators.
- Reporting and Closing- Involve in month-end closing activities to ensure timely bookings of insurance-related journal entries- Coordination, transfer and reconciliation of data from interfaces of front-end systems.- Ensure that all IFRS, GAAP and Statutory closing and reporting tasks (e.g. annual report, MAS returns, surveys and other statutory reporting) are completed accurately and on timely basis.- Perform PL analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.- Take care of monthly legal entity close submission activities- Timely execution and fulfillment of internal and external reporting requirements- Support IFRS17 reporting with respect to IFRS ledger and local statutory reporting.- Support Testing of systems and processes impacting the flow of financial information.

**K**nowledge**/**Skills**/**Abilities**
- Required Education:
- Degree in Accounting or qualified by experience in related discipline.- Preferably with recognized professional qualification related to Accounting (e.g. CPA, etc.).
- Required Experience:
- Professional working experience in audit or commercial with General Insurance or reinsurance Industry for at least 4 years.- Experience in MAS reporting, GST, preparation of Tax schedules.- Proven understanding of standard accounting (GAAP & IFRS) for insurance and reinsurance.- Project and team work in a dynamic and international environment.
- General Skills:
- Analytical Thinking and Numeracy: Ability to identify patterns and root causes in complex (e.g. ambiguous, from various sources) data and processes to rapidly distill key issues and provide insight in various situations.- Communication and Presentation Skills: Ability to understand, elaborate and convey information clearly and effectively in respect to the audience / level of management (both verbal and in writing).- Problem Solving Ability: Ability to identify and initiate appropriate actions to remediate issues that can be abstract / ambiguous and follow through on their remediation.- Project Management: Ability to meet and deliver projects on need basis.- Languages: English & Local Language.
- Technical Skills:
- Ability to handle complex processes (closing, reporting, finance operations) including understanding of data flows.- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills- Experience with automation tools- Legal and Regulatory Framework: Comprehensive knowledge of local GAAP, IAS / IFRS, Regulatory, Tax with regards to reporting, compliance and declaration.- Understanding insurance financial statements and their performance measurement including Drivers.
