Your opportunity

  • Provide financial accounting support to the AsiaPac entities

  • Prepare GL journals and manage the monthly financial close process in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Handle balance sheet reconciliations for selected entities, spotting booking errors and ensuring all balances are well supported.
  • Prepare and review financial accounts for legal entities, assisting with variance analysis.
  • Prepare Board packs for the entity boards.
  • Prepare statutory accounts for the respective entities and ensure compliance with relevant financial reporting standards.
  • Manage periodic tax returns (GST and corporate tax), regulatory filings, and surveys, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Support ad-hoc queries from business partners and Group Finance teams in Denver and London.
  • Involve and contribute to the Centres of Excellence (COE) Expense team. You will be responsible for standardizing and streamlining expense processes across the organization, ensuring consistency and compliance with Group policies.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors and tax agents, providing support as needed.

  • Provide support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable in-region

  • Generate payment batches and verify payment details before release.

  • Create manual payments with accurate details.
  • Monitor operating account cash balances to ensure sufficient funds before payments.
  • Prepare AR journal entries for cash receipts.
  • Assist with AP/AR queries from the business.

  • Internal control and process improvement

  • Develop, implement, and update accounting and financial policies and procedures for robust corporate governance.

  • Identify gaps in internal controls and financial reporting processes and work to address them.
  • Assist process owners and stakeholders identify risks and controls related to financial reporting.
  • Work collaboratively with teams across AsiaPac, Denver, and London.
  • Ensure local processes align with Group standards or are well documented with proper approvals when exceptions exist.

  • Finance Transformation Project

  • Participate in transformational activities tied to our ERP upgrade to SAP S/4HANA.

  • Support process and control design, documentation, and implementation as part of the Finance Transformation Project.

  • Any other ad hoc tasks or projects as assigned.

Must have skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or ACCA qualification
  • CPA/CA qualification preferred
  • Minimum 3 years' relevant experience, ideally in Asset Management, Finance sectors, or Big 4 firms
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Sharp attention to detail with ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Independent and adaptable, with an ability to "think outside of the box"
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Self-starter who learns fast and can multitask effectively
  • Able to build strong working relationships with colleagues in-region, London, and Denver

Nice to have skills

  • Knowledge of Mandarin, Cantonese, and/or Japanese will be an advantage
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems preferred
  • Knowledge of AsiaPac regulatory environments (Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore)
