Our residential study-tour programmes are hosted at prestigious universities and boarding schools in the countries we operate in such as the Macquarie University, Queensland University (Australia); National University of Singapore (NUS), Hwa Chong International Boarding school, Dunman High school hostel (Singapore); Nihon University, Waseda University (Japan); Vin University, FPT University ( Vietnam) etc.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a Group Accountant to join our finance department, reporting to group CFO, and execute the major reporting and reconciliation duties for our companies across our operations in Singapore, Australia, Vietnam and Japan.
A group financial accountant role is based in Singapore and will oversee the accounts of all subsidiary companies within the group. As well as completing consolidation, reporting and forecasts, this role is responsible for ensuring each company adheres to reporting standards and is financially compliant.
SYSTEMS USED: XERO + necessary implemented systems as required
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the team.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
- Analyse financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFO’s attention
- Project profitability analysis ( on Xero) and report to CFO and management team
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Coordinate semi-annual audits and assist CFO with conducting audits
- Conduct regular ledger maintenance
- Accounts Payable/Receivable duties
- Monthly Payroll setups
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- 5+ years’ experience in general or tax accounting
- Experience with computerized ledger systems
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Desirable
- CA/CPA
- International Accounting Standard knowledge6500
**Salary**: $4,300.00 - $6,500.00 per month
