**Job Purpose**
Digital Systems (DS) functions as SMRT Engineering's capability hub to innovate for the New Normal and explore New Possible to develop and deliver Digital Solutions for Trains' Digitalisation and Internationalisation.
- DS manages a wide range of projects to enable SMRT Trains to leverage on technology and digitalization to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of rail operations, engineering and maintenance. A key capability to be developed is the Digital Twin for Railway, which harnesses Big Data Analytics, IOT, AI/ML and Immersive Media and Visualisation.
- The incumbent will be exposed to various facets of project management including engineering analysis, data analytics, change management, technology scan and strategic road-mapping. Projects currently undertaken by DS including Digital Twin, digitalizaiton, predictive decision support systems, condition monitoring (sensors) and IOT & ICT infrastructure.

**Responsibilities**
The duties and responsibilities of a Senior Engineer, Digital Platforms are as listed below. Note that the list is not comprehensive, and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.
- Design and integrate architecture solutions for Digital Transformation projects.
- Work alongside vendors for web design features
- See through product projects from conceptualization to implementation
- Meet both technical and consumer needs
- Continuous research on current and emerging technologies and proposing changes where needed
- Support, maintain and enhance system performance to ensure SLA standards are met.
- Assess system architecture currently in place and work with technical staff to recommend solutions for improvements
- Draw insights from data to design new business models
- Engage and manage various stakeholders or technical solutions being implemented
- Report and monitor system perofmrance
- Assist the supervisor in organizing, managing project activities and being involved in system testing and debugging
- Evaluate and negotiate project proposal/ requirements with vendor
- Create Digital Twin using 3D software and run simulations to measure operation, maintenance and service performance in varying conditions
- Use machine learning alongside with real-time usage and performance data to optimize operation, maintenance and service activities

**Qualifications & Work Experience**
- Possess a Bachelor degree in STEM, Digital or Informatin Technology, Engineering, Computer Science of related fields
- At least 2 years of relevant working experience required
- Preferred keen interests in learning and demonstrated proficiency with fundamentals front/backend programming languages such as Javascript, Java 8, HTML, C#, ASP.net, CSS, JSF (Java Server Faces), Vue+Vuex, mobile App (Andriod and iOS),.NET and Web Services
- Good knowledge of digital platforms, IoT, operating systems and databases.
- Effective communication skills
