**What the role is**
- The operating environment of the Public Service is undergoing fundamental and rapid change. The issues we face are complex and multi-faceted, which impact the way the Public Service operates and organises itself. Internally, the changes in workforce profile has necessitated a new approach in how the workplace is designed, while the pervasiveness of technology has fundamentally changed the way we conduct our business.
To prepare the Public Service for these changes, we need to transform the Public Service workplace into one that is lean, agile and digital. We also need to build a productive, collaborative and joyful workplace culture to meet the needs and aspirations of public officers. We are looking to redesign the Employee Experience and create a stimulating and empowering work environment that supports officers’ growth, development and wellbeing.
In short, we want to make coming to work a delightful experience.

- We work in a start-up-like environment and are looking for motivated individuals who can work autonomously in a fast-paced environment. Applicants should be comfortable with ambiguity, be action-focused, and be prepared to fail fast and fail forward.
Key Competencies Required
- [Thinking Clearly and Making Sound Judgements]: Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. Able to work with ambiguity and loosely defined problem spaces, and investigate to sense-make, propose and implement sound and timely solutions.
- [Working Effectively with Stakeholders]: Work closely with other public agencies to understand their context and implement pilots on workplace initiatives to help their staff work more productively and collaboratively. Influence and mobilise all parties to see beyond individual goals towards a collective purpose, and to co-create solutions for a common good of improving the workplace experience for public officers.
- Experience in developing wellbeing programmes and Organisational Development would be advantageous. Prior experience with managing Government Procurement projects would also be advantageous as you will oversee the procurement, implementation, and review of the Employee Wellness Programme. Experience in Adult Learning would help too in the design and delivery of Employee Experience training initiatives. Prior experience in events organisation and planning (both virtual and physical) would also be advantageous as some initiatives might manifest in the form of events.
