As the Assistant Manager, Security, you will own the security operations in all Hmlet properties, as well as managing, training and assessing performance of the entire security operations. With a main focus around Hmlet boutique properties, where you are to be stationed the majority of the time, the scope also covers the residential portfolio of Singapore and the supervision and coordination with the security staff including the outsource vendors.
**You will be responsible for**:
- Assist in developing security measures and assuring the overall security of all members of the organisation.
- Assist in writing and developing security policies and procedures for the security department, oversee all necessary training modules and procedures for security staff, and provide protection to properties and assets.
- Monitor all unauthorised vandalism and removal of property, review and report accidents that happened within the vicinity, inspect all areas for safety and fire hazard; and file reports on safety precautions.
- Conduct internal investigations when necessary, managing the schedules of agency security personnel and tracking their attendance.
- Ensure that security plans are implemented, updated, revised and tested on a regular basis.
- Assess and supervise any security arrangements.
- Develop, oversee and implement orders where required.
- Assist in the development of evacuation and medical plans.
- Participate and co-ordinate the security response to emergency calls.
- Command and control the security staff at all times ensuring all work is conducted safely, in line with directives set by the organisation management team
- Ensure all incidents and accident reports are completed.
- Secondary point of contact for liaising with government officials, ministries, and law enforcement
- Conduct exercises to test operational readiness of the security team eg. Annual Fire Evacuation Exercise, Annual Power Shutdown Exercise
- Assist with the coordination and upkeep of the business continuity & crisis management plans
**The skills, attitude and experience we require are**:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a management position preferably in a hospitality environment/attractions on any other service oriented industry preferred
- Professional Security certification would be advantageous
- Certified to be part of CERT member (in accordance e to SCDF requirement)
- Experience in conducting red teaming and intrusion exercises
- Experience in managing outsourced security services vendors
- Ability to integrate and play an important role in a large and fast paced team
- Ability to manage projects simultaneously
- Flexible approach to working hours, as and when the business levels demand
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Good team player with initiative
- May need to work on rotating shifts, weekends and be responsive to emergency calls
