Commercial In-life Manager

**Description**:
The Commercial Lead provides excellent knowledge to plan and create commercially attractive bid responses to our customers that lead to the award of contracts, and manages the performance of the contracts to ensure Vodafone meets its obligations and commitments and delivers the expected financial value agreed pre-contract. The Commercial Lead focusses on activities that provide high quality commercial and finance insights to the commercial function. Supports driving sustainable value through the planning, negotiation and management of customer contracts, which optimize the customer investment of acquisition and retention cost to ensure profitability.
- Accountable for execution of all of VGE’s commercial contractual obligations over the life of the contract
- Seen by customer and VGE leadership as strategic advisor to key stakeholders. Produce internal executive briefings on commercial performance of managed accounts and recommendations on how to grow value in accounts and differentiate VGE from competition.
- Manage senior stakeholders in case of potential or actual escalation (management briefings, presentation, costs analysis, options / recommendations)
- Collaborate with relevant counterparts in Sales, Commercial, Legal, VBTS, and OpCos’ organisations to maximise profitability of the managed accounts
**Technical / professional qualifications**:
- Excellent relationship builder, with the necessary personal impact to build credibility with customers, account and senior Sales managers
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, at a senior level with customers and internally
- Significant experience of developing and negotiating compelling commercial propositions and/or managing complex telco/outsource contracts
- Demonstrable knowledge of Commercial Contractual issues affecting global bids and their impact on VGE
- Comfortable working in a fast paced environment and can demonstrate an ability to deliver though others
