Being part of the Digital team responsible for Shell Jurong Island (SJI), that realizes value opportunities with the target of improving safety and availability, optimizing margins and products and operational efficiency and productivity to drive down our cost, through data and digital projects in the assets - delivering a “transformed” business enabled by exponential innovation thinking. Besides tactical implementation support, this role will act as a catalyst for horizon scanning, ideation and deep integration of further transformation initiatives that is needed to sustain new ways of working.

This role provides a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of shaping and driving implementation of the digitalisation agenda for Shell Jurong Island (SJI) which is part of the Energy & Chemical Park Singapore (ECP-SG). The digitalisation agenda is a critical building block of the ultimate potential competitiveness journey for the asset and a steppingstone for transformation using exponential innovation thinking. The opportunity space reaches from technical digital solutions, data opportunities to optimization and reimagining of work processes across the entire asset management and operations.

The Digitalisation Engineer reports to the SJI Business & Digital Transformation Lead.

Key accountabilities:

- Lead and drive the delivery of near and medium-term value opportunities annually from digitalisation. Be product owner for specific digital product in the portfolio.
- Lead implementation of selected global Digitalisation initiatives and Big Bets in the Manufacturing business for the site e.g., Predictive maintenance, Rounds by exception, Full digitalised workflow.
- Lead/coach/SCRUM natural teams during implementation of Digitalisation initiatives/products.
- Support to shape the long-term ambition and strategy for digitalisation at SJI (part of ECP-SG).
- Perform stakeholder connects with internal and external stakeholder to help communicate our intentions, transformation ambition and seek active collaboration.
- Play an active role as Digital coach, Futurist and be a Change catalyst, supporting transformation through participation in a) Digital cadence at PU (Production Unit) and departmental level b) Coach site process focal points, team leads, process practitioners and Digitalisation focal points in the effective framing and implementation of digital initiatives.
- Work closely with SJI Digitalisation Lead to ensure maximum learning and replication of value opportunities between SJI, Bukom and Chemicals and Products network (with focus on specific accountable domain).
- Represent Shell in external networks to scout latest developments in the Digitalisation space.

**What we need from you**

We are keen to speak to professionals with the following:

- Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Informatics, or equivalent industrial experience
- Minimum 6 years field experience in Energy and Chemical industry to acquire domain knowledge
- Preferably having worked for an operating asset with a good understanding of business processes, pain points and value realization
- Proven leadership skills with small, natural, and virtual teams, demonstrate strong leadership presence and interpersonal skills to lead in the field/virtually and across cultures, demonstrate leadership influence and coach others for change
- Strong focus on value creation with ability to frame and articulate business case and impact
- Proven track record of consistent delivery of results and demonstrate raising the bar
- Success working with digital products will be advantageous
- Strong strategic problem-solving skills, including being able to clearly define business problems and friction/pain points impediments
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills to deal with (senior) stakeholders, strong interpersonal skills/ability to maintain relations at difficult interfaces with other businesses
