At least 5-7 years of experience in delivering business focused & technology related training and programs, and/or 7-10 years of sales experience. A strong player-coach.
- Versatility in communicating to both business and technical personas involved in Cloud Computing purchasing and adoption decisions
- Strong understanding of Cloud and Distributed computing concepts. Ability to translate this knowledge to AWS Services
- Experience conducting classroom training for related cloud technology products and services.
- Excellent oral presentation skills, interpersonal communication, and writing skills.
- Business degree (i.e. MBA) or relevant work experience required.
- A strong “stage presence” and ability to engage and manage a classroom of adult learners.
- Self-sufficient, self-starter with proven success taking ownership of training projects, with significant discretion and autonomy under complexity.
- Ability to travel approx. 30% of time.
Job summary
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is continuing to Pioneer in the Worldwide Public Sector (WWPS) in ASEAN. Amazon Web Services provides a highly reliable, scalable, low-cost infrastructure platform in the cloud that powers hundreds of thousands of businesses in 190 countries around the world.
In this role, you will plan and deliver training content & develop enablement programs for the internal AWS Public Sector Sales organization to drive adoption and usage of AWS infrastructure services, for our customer-missions’ successes. You’ll have an opportunity to combine a passion for teaching and enthusiasm for technology, to drive learning and establish positive relationships. You will have excellent communication skills and proven technology and business training experience.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead development of WWPS ASEAN strategy for onboarding, continuous education, landing new solutions, building ongoing process efficiencies and operationalizing sales methodology across various roles.
- Identify ASEAN WWPS key enablement needs in coordination/collaboration with all stakeholders - the Sales Leadership, Marketing, Services, Business Development, Solutions Architects, Professional Services, Partner team and Operations. Translate business needs into a field enablement plan
- Deliver training courses which incorporate AWS’s strategy, mission and technology with our sales and business development methodologies to employees
- Conduct employee training using a variety of instructional techniques and delivery methods, including classroom-based learning and virtual learning
- Create an engaging learner experience in each training class with various training strategies
- Work with the Global WWPS Training team and APJ Enablement Head to land, customize and deliver Global Training programs in ASEAN. Assist in the development and execution of a formalized Train-the-Trainer program (when required)
- Provide content and class feedback to course developers to raise bar on curriculum quality; and best practices from ASEAN to replicate globally.
- Review and manage the existing content library to determine opportunities to improve the learning experience, ensure the content is current and relevant and best technology is employed.
- Previous experience as either a sales individual or manager prior to moving into instructional delivery. (Folks who have significant relevant experience in Cloud Sales, Technology Sales with a passion for Enablement, can apply)
- Understands the dynamics of Public Sector business
- Experience with learning management systems and e-learning development tools.
- Recent experience in a fast-paced, multinational technology company.
