Position Summary

The role is part of the Regional Marketing team and reports to the Head of Media. This role’s key responsibility is to drive media and marketing investments across the region and strengthen our media capabilities and performance across all key paid touchpoints.

Role scope covers all categories in the region of SEA and ANZ, and requires both strategic and operational knowledge of key media channels - across Digital (programmatic, performance marketing, Search, Social, OLV) as well as non-Digital. In market experience in SEAO region is required with regional experience as a plus.

The Role also covers all Samsung BUs and requires close collaboration with local market media leads as well as functional teams in the region across CRM and performance marketing.

Role and Responsibilities

Regional Media Strategy development.
- Translate Global Media Strategies and guidelines to regionally relevant guidelines for the SEAO taking into account local nuances
- Work closely with local markets in SEAO to ensure alignment to Regional Media Strategies
- Work closely with internal teams across such as CRM as well as Performance Marketing to achieve shared objectives
- Ensure alignment on the overall communications strategy, audience insights and channel mix development to drive the right business process, marketing results and investment ROI

Media governance and execution
- Work with local markets to drive the execution of regional media programs
- Be a Media strategic thought leader and partner for local markets
- Monitor paid media campaigns including analysis/review of media plans and actual investments to deliver both business and marketing objectives including outperforming competitive benchmarking

Media performance management
- Set KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for gauging the impact of media especially digital activities and manage the progress of KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) via media performance reports, and possess clear understanding of budget management, Marketing Mix Modelling, and the setting and performance of Media Budget Thresholds/Guidelines

Media partnerships
- Collaborate closely with media agency, publishers, partners on regional deals as well as on overall media strategy, guidelines, savings
- Lead media focused research in collaboration with key partners including cross-media, ROI and other media studies
- Other responsibilities may include insights and operational management of media planning processes, investment reporting, competency trainings for local markets and development of regional and local media insights and intelligence

Media/Marketing Investment budget management.
- Provide analysis as needed on for inputs and recommendations to budget planning
- This will cover across all marketing investments/spends including ATL and BTL

Skills and Qualifications
- Degree in Economics, Marketing ,Business Administration or equivalent
- At least 8-10 years professional experience in marketing, acquired at least in part in a regional role, with a proven track record
- Extensive experience in digital media and digital marketing to thrive in digital / mobile 1st environment both regionally and locally.
- Experience working in media environments (e.g. media agencies and/or media experience in large MNCs).
- Works on complex issues where analysing situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variables. Exercises judgement in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to obtain results. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and coordinates other's tasks
- May directly or indirectly manage stakeholders to ensure co-ordination of efforts regarding cost efficiency, operating methods, competencies, capabilities and staffing on media and marketing investment planning and activities.
- Strong customer focus - i.e. ability to place our customers at the heart of our thinking process and make data and insight led decision and recommendations
- Ability to work autonomously and drive the agenda on key areas of responsibilities.
- Ability to work with speed and navigate complex multi-cultural matrix environments with many partners and stakeholders.
