Seeks an energetic and results driven Business Manager of Asia Pacific to work in our luxury travel business, located in Singapore, working closely with our COO based in NY and the Singapore team. Primary responsibility is to develop and manage our reservations specialists and liaise with our clients in the region which includes Australia and New Zealand.
ID Travel Group, also known as Island Destinations, is a USA & Singapore based world renowned travel company focused on sales and marketing. Established 38 years ago, ID markets luxurious holidays to high end clients exclusively through travel advisors. Our Singapore office opened 10 years ago and services Australasia.
The position requires developing and maintaining strong client and supplier relationships, attending travel industry events, arranging sales calls, hosting webinars and organizing events. You will be responsible for managing our local office functions. In addition, you will be helping and advising our reservations team with trip items such as transfers, concierge requests and accommodation requests, serving as the liaison with suppliers to complete arrangements. At the ID Travel Group, our destinations including Bali, Fiji, the Maldives, Mexico, Hawaii, South Pacific, the Caribbean and more. All hotels are carefully vetted by the ID team to meet our demanding standards, and with experience you will be asked to inspect properties in such locations on behalf of the company. Through this process, team members gain firsthand knowledge of the resorts which creates credibility and expertise in the marketplace and of course provides wonderful travel experiences. Experience in the travel industry, a hotel or tourism/hospitality background, is required.

- Excellent English language communication skills both verbal & written. Primary markets are Australasia, but fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese for Taiwanese and Hong Kong clients would be an advantage.
- Advanced computer knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - especially Excel and Outlook
- Ability to travel internationally
- A problem solver with strong inter-personal skills and an ability to interact with all levels of an organization with high-touch customer service skills
- 3 - 6 years of travel industry experience
- Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following**:
- Business Development: Develop and maintain strong client relationships
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and strategic partnerships
- Active participation in industry events in the region to create awareness and build engagement
- Arrange sales calls throughout the region with key travel advisor clients; host webinars with hotel partners to promote their product to mutual clients
- Plan and organize annual roadshow events (cocktail parties, lunches and dinners) in major cities such as Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane
- Build and maintain relationships with key personnel and hotel partners
- Assist reservations specialists to curate and organize travel arrangements including flights, accommodation, transfers, and excursions, checking hotel availability & prices, all while providing exceptional service to our valued travel advisor partners
- Provide recommendations for destinations and hotels within the company’s 400+ worldwide hotel portfolio to travel advisor clients
- Handle office and personnel and administrative matters.
Minimum $50,000/year based on travel industry experience and education.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
