
Global Professional Affairs Manager

**You will be responsible for**:
**Scientific engagement**:
- Develop and execute the scientific engagement strategy to drive the therapeutic portfolio, especially the myopia management portfolio from the professional/medical perspective.
**Professional relations**:
- Develop a global KOL and faculty network, build strong KOL endorsements and partnerships
- Identify, develop and maintain key opinion leaders, influencers, and Hoya’s advocates to assist in delivering key messages and education, raising the presence and sharing of the voice of Hoya in the professional community.
- Developing solid partnerships with academic organizations, such as academic and industry associations, optometry schools, etc.
**Medical education**:
- Plan and execute ECP education through peer-to-peer influencing and direct training.
- Plan and execute Hoya-initiated medical and educational programs (i.e., webinars, roadshows, etc.)
- Manage global and major regional academic conferences, partnering with KOLs, Marketing, Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs, R&D, and local teams to make a substantial share of voice among the professional community and build the leadership of Hoya.
- ECP education and communication assets development
- Present with personal impact at Global optical conferences and major Hoya educational events to significant sized audiences on clinical or business-related topics.
**Business support**:
- Support sales and customer teams, especially the Global Key Account team, in front of the customer with credible technical knowledge and understanding of the customer’s business, helping the sales organization tailor our offering to meet the customer’s needs.
- Monitor and report on competitive industry activities, clinicalscience, and regulatory landscape.
**To succeed in the role, you must have**
- Passion and experience in partnering with various types of ECPs (KOLs, ophthalmologists, optometrists, opticians)
- Passion and experience in education and training in the eye care industry
- Experience working Internationally with time spent in / language skills of more than one market.
- Strategicic thinking
- Business acumen
- Fluent verbal and written English
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions.
- Excellent organizational and coordination skills are essential
- Strong personal presence and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, both internally and externally.
- Highly proactive and able to work successfully alone as well as within a team to pre-determined objectives
**What else are we looking for**
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Professional Affairs/ Profesional Education/ Medical Education capacity in the vision or eye care companies.
- Optometry/ Ophthalmologist Degree
- Experience in Pharma/Medical Device is a plus
- Myopia management experience is a plus
- Competent designer and deliverer of training programs for multi-level audiences.
- Demonstrable ability to network and capitalize on opportunities.
- Presentations to large conference audiences.
**Work Environment**
- Office/ home-based
- Regular regional/global international travel
- Represent the Company at evening/weekend exhibitions and seminars as required.
