Job Overview

This position requires an experienced professional to oversee the operation and maintenance of data center facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day activities, managing teams, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and manage daily tasks and projects to ensure efficient operation of the data center.
  • Oversee and coordinate with vendors and stakeholders to deliver project objectives.
  • Analyze data and prepare reports on operational performance and maintenance activities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance data center efficiency and reduce costs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.
  • At least six years of experience in data center facility management.
  • Three years of leadership experience in a similar role.
  • Possess broad-based knowledge of building technology, mechanical services, electrical services, and facilities management.
  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure systems, including UPS, chillers, CRAC, thermal cooling systems, electrical systems, fire protection systems, water detection systems, fire suppression systems, PDUs, CCTV systems, and card access systems.
  • Good working knowledge of best practices in fire safety management, control, and operating a data center hosting services.
  • Familiarity with ITIL Foundation V4 and relevant certifications such as CDCP and CDCS.
  • Working experience in managing and supporting DCIM systems like Struxureware Data Center Expert (DCE), Struxureware Data Center Operations (DCO), and IT Advisor (ITA).
  • Inclination towards automating routine tasks to drive operational efficiency.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 standards is advantageous.
