Job Summary:

As a key member of our housekeeping team, the Guest Room Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring the comfort and convenience of our guests. Reporting to the Assistant Housekeeper, you will be responsible for cleaning guest rooms to the highest standards, creating a seamless and memorable stay experience.

  • Attend pre-shift meetings and collect daily room cleaning reports/assignments, before signing out the master key.
  • Ensure all assigned rooms are cleaned according to established standards and return the master key to the housekeeping office at the end of your shift.
  • Pack your trolley with linen and ensure there are sufficient supplies before starting to make up rooms.
  • Able to prioritise daily job tasks, e.g., which room to clean first.
  • Ensure that all guest rooms are cleaned as per established standards and room supplies are completely replenished.
  • Check and report any missing, damaged items and/or maintenance defects to the Assistant Housekeeper immediately.
  • Handle guest laundry requests where applicable and be responsible for pick-up and return of the items.
  • Attend to guests' requests immediately when needed and inform the Supervisor if request cannot be handled.
  • Keep the pantry and service area neat and tidy at all times.
  • Observe all brand/operating standards and/or LQA.
  • Follow all workplace safety and security policies and procedures. Report accidents, injuries, and incidents to security/talent & culture team immediately.
  • Participate and contribute actively in all Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability initiatives organised by the Hotel.

  • Physically fit, as the role requires constant movements and lifting of heavy items.
  • Possess a positive service mindset and attitude.
  • Good human relations and influencing skills.
  • Good communications and human relations skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Flexible with working days and hours, including weekends and public holidays.
