Position Overview
As the BDM for Last Mile, Courier, and Delivery Services, your primary focus will be that of a 'hunter' who thrives on securing new business opportunities and expanding our customer base within the SME sector. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving our company’s growth by identifying, pursuing, and closing new business deals.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and target potential SME clients in Singapore, understanding their logistics needs and challenges.
Develop and execute a robust sales strategy to acquire new business within the SME segment.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in targeted companies.
Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and potential business opportunities.
Prepare and present tailored proposals, quotes, and solutions that meet the specific needs of SME clients.
Achieve and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Collaborate with the operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless onboarding of new clients and delivery of services.
Regularly report on sales activities, pipeline progress, and market feedback to management.
Requirements
Proven track record as a “hunter” in business development, with a focus on acquiring new clients in the SME sector.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in the logistics or delivery services industry.
Strong understanding of the challenges and needs of SMEs in Singapore.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently, with a high level of initiative and self-motivation.
Results-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
IT savvy and embrace new technology and innovation in an ever-changing landscape.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
