Summary
The Resource Allocator is responsible for maximizing the utilization of resources and providing the dynamic resource allocation plan to the Operational shift in-charge, by optimally allocating the key operational resources (including manpower and equipment).
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure that resource allocation is undertaken independently, without prejudice, and in line with planned business needs, real-time operational demands, and customer requirements, while achieving targeted Service Level Agreements.
Manage rosters and ensure optimal staff coverage.
Pre-plan deployment and determine overtime needs to meet service standards.
Work actively with the Operational shift in-charge, providing advice and direction to respond to dynamic changes; review allocation plans and recommend replacements or overtime; update staff attendance records.
Coordinate and communicate regularly to ensure decision support systems meet operational needs; stay updated on system functionalities relevant to resource allocation.
Collaborate with a team of Resource Allocators to ensure smooth shift handovers and cover other departments as needed.
Liaise with dnata Operations Control Centre (dOCC) and communicate issues affecting flights or departments proactively.
Ensure compliance with workplace safety, security, and health policies.
Perform any ad-hoc duties assigned by the manager or department head.
Requirements
Minimum N/O level equivalent.
4-5 years of experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role, in ground handling, airline industry, or resource allocation in another industry.
Excellent analytical and planning skills for rostering, overtime, and leave administration.
Experience with decision support systems for resource allocation is a distinct advantage.
Advanced computer skills, including MS Office and familiarity with specialized applications and programming languages.
