Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Senior Research Engineer to join our organization for a 6-month contract.

  • This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and develop new skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
  • You will design and build custom optical microscopy systems tailored to specific application needs, optimising system performance to balance cost efficiency with high-performance requirements.
  • Candidates should have a degree in Physics, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Microelectronics or Industrial Engineering, and at least 5 years of experience in optical instrument design, prototyping and development.
  • The ideal candidate will have hands-on knowledge of optical components, excellent understanding of optical simulation and design principles, strong expertise in spectroscopy, microscopy and tolerance assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build custom optical microscopy systems.
  • Optimise system performance.
  • Conduct analysis of system performance.
  • Develop system design requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor/Master degree in relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years of industrial or research experience.
  • Hands-on knowledge of optical components.
  • Excellent understanding of optical simulation and design principles.
  • Strong expertise in spectroscopy, microscopy and tolerance assessment.
