Our organization seeks a distinguished Senior Opto-Mechanical Engineer to spearhead the development of precision opto-mechanical assemblies for cutting-edge laser and electro-optics systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and integrate complex opto-mechanical subsystems for high-performance laser and electro-optics systems, including optical mounts, enclosures, alignment mechanisms, thermal management, and vibration isolation.
  • Analyze and optimize designs using simulation tools to ensure mechanical stability and robustness, meeting precise specifications and performance criteria.
  • Oversee the fabrication, assembly, and precision alignment of opto-mechanical subsystems, ensuring manufacturability, field readiness, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system, electronics, and optical engineers, to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of mechanical designs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in opto-mechanical design for precision systems, preferably in defense, aerospace, or photonics industries.
  • Proficient in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) and FEA tools (ANSYS, COMSOL).
  • Familiarity with optical alignment methods, thermal, and vibration management techniques for sensitive optical assemblies.
  • Hands-on experience in optical alignment and integration highly valued.
