Job Title: Advanced Optics Design Engineer

As a senior optics design engineer, you will play a key role in developing and designing complex optical systems. This includes defining system specifications, creating manufacturing procedures, training manufacturing engineers and technicians, and deriving detailed manufacturing requirements.

  • Developing and designing optical systems to meet customer needs and specifications.
  • Defining system and subsystem specifications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Creating and documenting manufacturing procedures to streamline production processes.
  • Training manufacturing engineers and technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to assemble and test optical systems.
  • Deriving and managing detailed manufacturing requirements to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in optical alignment and characterization using advanced metrology tools.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python and JavaScript (a plus).
  • Extensive hands-on experience in building/testing optical inspection or metrology tools.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills in optics and opto-mechanics.
  • Good communication and team player skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in applied optics, applied physics or related disciplines.
  • More than 5 years of working experience in optics and photonics.
