System Integration Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of optical systems, ensuring alignment with technical requirements.
  • Define system specifications, considering subsystem integration, testing, and characterization.
  • Document manufacturing procedures, focusing on process optimization and quality control.
  • Provide training to manufacturing engineers and technicians, enhancing their expertise in optical inspection and metrology tools.
  • Oversee the derivation and management of detailed manufacturing requirements and introduction plans during the design concept phase.
  • Cover all aspects of manufacturing introduction, including design for manufacturability, product structure, build process optimization, and facilities requirements.

Requirements:

  • Experience in optical alignment, characterization, and system integration.
  • Proficiency in Python and JavaScript is a plus.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in building and testing optical inspection or metrology tools.
  • Strong diagnostic and trouble-shooting skills in optics and opto-mechanics.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in applied optics, applied physics, or related disciplines, preferably with >5 years of working experience.
