Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned facilities development director to oversee both facilities maintenance operations and the planning and execution of development projects within a large-scale commercial environment. This leadership role combines operational excellence, asset enhancement, and project management to ensure optimal performance and long-term value of the property portfolio.

This leadership role requires the ability to lead and oversee daily maintenance operations of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and building systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure regulatory compliance.

Additionally, the facilities development director will ensure energy efficiency, safety, and sustainability targets are met across facilities. The role involves managing vendor contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and periodic audits. Collaboration with tenants and internal teams is also essential to resolve maintenance issues promptly and professionally.

The facilities development director will lead asset enhancement initiatives, renovations, and capital improvement projects from concept through to completion. This includes overseeing feasibility studies, design reviews, budgeting, tendering, contractor management, and handover processes. Ensuring all projects comply with local regulatory requirements, safety standards, and internal policies is crucial.

Closely coordinating with internal stakeholders, architects, consultants, and contractors is vital to deliver projects on time and within budget. Planning and managing annual facilities and capital expenditure budgets is also an important aspect of the role. Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics across maintenance and project teams is necessary to drive continuous improvement.

Providing strategic input on lifecycle costing, infrastructure upgrades, and sustainability initiatives is also essential. Supporting long-term property value enhancement and tenant experience is a key objective of this role.
