Responsibilities
As an Air Force Engineer, you will be trained to acquire world-class technical expertise under the Military Domain Experts Scheme (MDES). You will work with state-of-the-art technology to find innovative solutions for complex challenges, streamline protocols and processes, and formulate strategies that will advance RSAF capabilities.
Engineering and Maintenance Management: Oversee and manage engineering and maintenance activities to ensure operational readiness for both peacetime and wartime requirements.
Project Implementation: Lead projects related to the introduction of new aircraft, operational facilities, and equipment into service.
Reliability and Standards Improvement: Conduct studies to improve reliability and maintain standards of aircraft, facilities, and other equipment.
Modification and Performance Enhancement: Evaluate and implement modifications to upgrade performance or reliability of equipment and installations.
Failure Investigation and Corrective Action: Investigate failures of Aircraft, Ground Air Defence systems, facilities, and components, and implement corrective measures.
Quality Assurance and Conformity: Implement and manage quality assurance, audit, and conformity inspection programs to maintain high standards of equipment, facilities, and services.
Design and Development: Produce designs, specifications, and drawings for equipment and tooling; develop techniques for damage repair across infrastructures.
Supply Chain Improvement: Review and enhance procurement, accounting, and operational supply processes to improve supply chain efficiency.
Technological Awareness and Integration: Stay updated with latest technological developments and integrate relevant advancements into RSAF operations and strategies.
In addition, you will gain exposure to various aspects of operations and responsibilities for holistic development, including leadership development, staff writing, and presentation skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Computer, Electrical & Electronic, Mechanical); or degrees in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, or other aerospace-related courses.
Alternative paths: You may apply with an A-Level/IB certificate or a relevant engineering diploma if you have been accepted into a recognised university to pursue one of the above degree courses.
Experience with aviation systems is a plus.
