Maritime IT Professional Job

The successful candidate will oversee the management and support of all onboard IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.

This role involves providing hands-on assistance to vessel crew, enforcing cybersecurity measures, and driving IT project implementation.

About the Role:

  • Manage and support all onboard IT infrastructure, including servers, communication systems, workstations, and networking equipment.
  • Provide technical assistance to vessel crew, resolving issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
  • Enforce and oversee onboard cybersecurity measures such as endpoint protection, user access controls, and secure configurations.
  • Drive the implementation of IT projects onboard, including software upgrades, license renewals, antivirus deployments, and communication system enhancements.
  • Maintain accurate records for assigned vessels.
  • Support the development of strategic plans for vessel IT operations and projects.
  • Deliver basic IT training and awareness sessions for crew members as needed.
  • Oversight of office IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, and cloud platforms.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT management, preferably in the maritime industry.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of IT systems and cybersecurity.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
