**What the role is**

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) is the government agency tasked to develop Singapore as the premier Global Hub Port and leading international maritime centre. You will be part of a team focusing on the development of human capital for Singapore’s maritime industry.

**What you will be working on**

Your main role is to support the Maritime Human Capital Department’s effort in managing the industry manpower needs and ensuring that maritime companies could access high quality complementary global professionals while improving workforce diversity and building a strong Singaporean core.
This role requires close follow-up both internally within MPA and with external government agencies. Major responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

- Liaise with officers from other MPA Divisions in assessing the suitability of cases for support
- Work with external government agencies (especially MOM) in the administration of cases
- Keep informed on the latest developments relating to our national manpower policies, and ensure internal databases are continually updated in a timely manner
- Regular and timely updates to supervisor on case management, as well as recommendations to issues as and when they arise
- Provide analysis of the maritime manpower landscape as and when required.

- Good Microsoft Office skills, in particular Excel
- Able to work independently as well as in a team
