Reinforcement Specialist
Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Reinforcement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for ensuring that reinforcement materials are properly received, recorded, and installed on site.
Job Objectives
Assist the project manager in overseeing the installation of reinforcement materials and ensure that all work meets customer requirements. Assist Bar Bending Schedule (BBS) to receive rebar sent to the site, record necessary data, and check the size, quantity, and spacing of steel bars to ensure quality meets specifications and design requirements.
Responsibilities
1. Attend daily toolbox meetings and workers briefings at 7:30 a.m.
2. Assist BBS in receiving reinforcement materials sent to the site, checking for any defects or damage, and recording relevant information.
3. Familiarize yourself with architectural drawings and structural drawings to ensure accurate implementation of reinforcement materials.
4. Communicate effectively with project managers, foremen, and other site personnel to ensure that work progress, quality, and safety meet customer requirements.
5. Teach and demonstrate proper techniques for erecting stirrups, installing, and binding rebar.
6. Conduct regular inspections to ensure that reinforcement materials meet specified standards and report any defects or discrepancies to the supervisor.
7. Achieve efficiency targets set by the company and site Project Manager, monitoring and reporting progress regularly.
8. Maintain accurate records of reinforcement materials received, installed, and inspected, providing timely reports to the project manager as required.
Requirements
1. Passed the test of steel bar skills of BCA, holding a BCSS certificate.
2. Ability to read, understand, and execute work based on construction drawings, possessing basic drawing recognition skills, and able to read material lists and drawings of BBS.
3. Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
4. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the field of reinforcement materials management.
