Job title: Pharma Business Unit Manager, Singapore & Brunei The Pharma Singapore & Brunei team is dedicated to delivering breakthrough innovations that extend and improve the lives of patients in Singapore and Brunei through an unwavering commitment to support accessibility to medicine, providing new therapeutic solutions, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders to ensure appropriate uptake. The role will lead the establishment of the new Pharma Business Unit, with full end to end accountability of the Pharma P&L and full accountability for shaping and executing the launch of new molecules and indications over the next 10 years. The role will also be externally visible, taking a leadership role in external meetings with diverse stakeholders and driving positive negotiations, including Government officials. The role will have a strong focus on innovation; launch execution excellence and commercial execution. The role will be fully accountable for ensuring all matters within the business unit are done in a compliant manner. Primary Activities - Accountabilities, Supervision, Key Communications Primary activities include, but are not limited to: Accountabilities : • Provide overall business direction and leadership to drive impact of the company's pharma portfolio. • Direct responsibility for the organization's day-to-day sales and marketing direction and execution, with assistance of key local (non-reporting) support functions including Medical, External affairs access and communication (EAPC), Commercial Operations, Regulatory, Supply Chain/Logistics & Finance. • Direct responsibility for achieving the company's short term and long-term sales, profits, share, and growth objectives • Develop and maintain a highly competent & competitive organization with respect to both its structure and personnel ensuring that qualified successors are available for key positions • Manage the selection and development of staff to build capability and positive work culture within the team and across the organization. • Develop short and long-range objectives to increase the sales and profitability of the company through knowledge-based campaigns and activities, derived from an understanding of the needs, wants and expectations of customers, matched with the long-term strategy of the company. • Control, monitor & drive sustained improvements in sales methods, key customer strategies and the evolution of the GTM to suit the needs of future portfolio. • Maintain necessary, appropriate & compliant contact with partners & stakeholders in line with organizational objectives. • Ensuring all business activity is conducted to the highest ethical and compliance standards setting a high standard for the whole industry. • Provide strategic direction and leadership to sales management, sales representatives, brand managers and other marketing staff to ensure an effectively integrated and productive team. Effectively lead and manage staff, including setting objectives, rewarding and recognizing performance and training and developing expertise. • Keep abreast of current business and economic policies and ensure the organization is prepared to respond to unforeseen events and prepared to meet the needs of the future • Contribute to the Company's SGMY cluster to develop and implement company strategy & culture and deliver on financial, customer and leadership objectives. Supervision : In the first instance this role has management responsibility for a sales team in Singapore. This team may grow over time in line with the development of the Franchise.
