
Application Support Lead

Job Responsibilities
- Lead the application support function for various banking systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for production issues using Java and SQL (Level 3)
- Monitor application health, conduct root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes and preventive measures.
- Manage incident and problem management processes in alignment with ITIL standards and banking SLAs.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure seamless support and continuous improvement of banking applications.
- Drive automation and process optimization to enhance support efficiency and reduce manual interventions.
- Maintain detailed support documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles for internal use.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in application development and support, with strong hands-on expertise in Java and SQL .
- Proven experience working in the banking or financial services domain , with knowledge of core banking systems and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage high-pressure production environments.
- Experience with incident management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA) and monitoring solutions (e.g., Splunk, AppDynamics).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor team members and coordinate with stakeholders.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and Agile methodologies is highly desirable.
- Experience with cloud environment is a plus
