Role Overview

We are looking for an Application Support & Development Engineer with 6–9 years of experience in supporting mission-critical banking systems. The role combines application support (Unix/Windows platforms, databases, job scheduling) with web development (Java, Tomcat, Spring, JSP, APIs, front-end technologies) to ensure stable, efficient, and secure application delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide end-to-end application support across Unix/Linux and Windows environments.
  • Manage and optimize databases (MariaDB, Oracle, MS SQL).
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Control-M job scheduling .
  • Support and enhance Java & Tomcat applications.
  • Develop and maintain solutions using Spring, HTML5/JSP, SOAP APIs, JavaScript, CSS .
  • Perform coding, debugging, and deployment using Eclipse IDE .
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and business teams to resolve incidents and deliver enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance, change management, and documentation standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.
  • 6–9 years of experience in application support and web development, preferably in a banking environment.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in:

Application Support : Unix & Windows platforms, MariaDB, Oracle or MS SQL, Control-M

Web Development : Java & Tomcat, Spring and Bootstrapping, HTML5/JSP, SOAP APIs / Web Services, JavaScript, CSS, Eclipse
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
