Field Engineering, Data Application Product Specialist

Join to apply for the Field Engineering, Data Application Product Specialist role at Databricks As the Data Application Product Specialist, you will define our technical go‐to‐market strategy, drive adoption of our data application stack across the Asia‐Pacific and Japan region, and act as a trusted technical advisor to senior executives. You will work directly with customers to shape their data application architecture, present demos, pitch our product suite, and enable our field engineering teams with deep technical expertise. You will partner with product managers to inform product direction, and recruit and lead a group of specialists to scale impact. You will also serve as an external thought leader through speaking engagements, webinars, and content creation. The Impact You Will Have Lead the vision and strategy for data application products (Lakebase, Apps) adoption in Asia Pacific and Japan Develop materials for our GTM team to effectively communicate our value proposition Support our field teams in key strategic pursuit opportunities Lead a team of subject matter experts (SMEs) to scale your impact in local regions and enable the broader field team to have confidence in competing in the market Act as the thought leader to build confidence and relationships with our customers at the executive level Present externally at conferences, events and webinars and publish content to establish our position in the market Work with post‐sales and partners to establish best practices Act as a cross‐functional representative with Product Management, Product Marketing and Engineering on our go‐to‐market motion What We Look For 10+ years of experience in application development and familiarity with modern AI‐Apps architecture Deep technical knowledge of database technologies (Postgres, MySQL, Oracle, etc.) and application frameworks (Python, Node.js, Streamlit, Dash, React, Angular, etc.)Deep technical understanding of software engineering/data application development practices Trusted advisor to technical executives that inform strategic data decisions Proven track record of successful pre‐sales experience in competitive situations Ability to define and execute strategic programs cross‐functionally High‐impact communication internally and externally About Databricks Databricks is the data and AI company.
