Role Overview Your role: APAC Technical Pre‐Sales Engineer. Provide expert consultancy and pre‐sales activities sharing technical and product knowledge with customers. Accompany Sales colleagues on customer meetings and industry events. Key Responsibilities Attend meetings and events with the team and potential clients to determine technical and business requirements. Provide technical solutions in a professional manner and to agreed timeframes. Create and confidently deliver technical presentations internally and externally. Deliver training on solutions and provide product support to channel partners and internal stakeholders. Create internal design configuration documentation including network diagrams with technical explanations. Prepare Statement of Works or Customer Requirements Specification or other agreed document to describe the agreed customer solution. Work with Product Management to feedback on issues with current products and provide input around new products. Build productive relationships internally and externally, fostering teamwork by keeping colleagues updated on activities. Perform technical development for bespoke solutions as part of a design and development framework. Provide accurate and timely management information, including activity reports, bid reviews, project forecasts, KPIs and adhere to the Company’s Quality and Business Processes. Structure and produce compelling sales proposals, commercial and technical documentation. Interface with the implementation / project team, articulating customer requirement to ensure smooth transition from sale to delivery. Demonstrate products and technologies effectively to audiences of varied technical knowledge. Deliver chargeable technical services to new and existing customers for products. Build technical relationship with prospects and/or existing customers. Support the Sales Team with customer‐facing technical pre‐sales assistance. Deliver product presentations and demonstrations, and provide support at external and internal customer‐facing events. Build custom demonstrations and deliver Proof Of Concepts (POC). Compare competitive products to specify the most advantageous solutions for customers. Lead role in specifying technical solutions, internal consultation, writing of proposals and tender responses. Maintain a good working knowledge of all products and value‐added services (VAS) in the Solutions Portfolio. Provide input to the Solutions Team centralised knowledge base.
