We're seeking a Principal Project Engineer to lead complex, high-impact capital projects from concept to completion. This role is ideal for a seasoned engineering professional with a strong technical background, strategic mindset, and proven leadership in project execution. You'll be instrumental in shaping our manufacturing capabilities and driving operational excellence.
What will you be doing?
Project Leadership: Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver capital projects on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.
Engineering Oversight: Provide technical direction across all phases of project development—conceptual design, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders (operations, EH&S, finance, supply chain) and external partners (vendors, contractors, consultants).
Risk & Compliance Management: Ensure projects meet regulatory requirements and company standards for safety, environmental impact, and quality.
Budget & Schedule Control: Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource plans; proactively identify and mitigate risks.
Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation in engineering practices, project delivery models, and technology adoption.
Who are You?
Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field; Master's degree or PMP certification is a plus.
Experience: 10+ years in engineering roles within the chemical or process industries, with significant experience in capital project execution.
What competencies will you need?
Strong knowledge of process design, equipment specification, and construction practices
Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., OSHA, EPA, REACH)
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
