Principal Engineer / Senior Principal Engineer

Assist DD/Specialist to:

- Review and enforce legislation and codes of practice
- evelop performance standards and technical regulatory frameworks for electricity licensees' compliance
- Investigate power failure, voltage dip and electrical incidents, and breaches of legislation, performance standards and codes of practice, and recommend regulatory actions to be taken
- Review classification of critical physical infrastructure
- Engage licensees and relevant authorities on physical security measures for power sector's critical physical infrastructure and security-by-design process
- Oversee power sector's preparedness for power-related crisis and physical security incidents during peacetime and National Emergency (NE) through conduct of/participation in relevant exercises, training and forums. This includes EMA's representation in inter-ministry/agency emergency preparedness and planning exercises, and liaising/coordination of power sector's response to these emergency situations
- Develop contingency and response plans, in consultation with agencies and licensees
- Conduct power system reviews to identify vulnerabilities and mitigating measures
