What The Role Is: The Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) that pioneers innovation solutions and develops world‑class science and technology capabilities to transform and empower the Home Team in delivering safety and security for Singapore. The Deputy Director of AI Product Management manages the HTxAI product portfolio, collaborates with strategic stakeholders to define product features and specifications, leads a team of Product Managers, Business Analysts, Product Designers and Tech Managers, prioritises feature development, and offers technical expertise across problem scoping and user requirements. These responsibilities drive innovation and excellence in product and technology management within the organisation. What You Will Be Working On: Provide strategic technical leadership, assessing plans, and overseeing the development of a cutting‑edge AI and Digital products for HTX. Offer mentorship to nurture team collaboration, innovate AI solutions aligning with user needs, and foster vital partnerships with external entities. Develop a Product Development culture across COEs and HTDs. Promulgate the defined Product Management Framework based on industry best practices customised to Home Team requirements. Develop and oversee HTxAI’s product portfolio covering AI and Digital technologies. Identify product opportunities and solution feature requirements from users’ problem statements, use case requirements and industry trends. Develop Product and Solution roadmaps considering users’ ConOps requirements, industry trends and latest technology developments. Lead multiple product teams and provide day‑to‑day guidance in all aspects of Product Management and Tech Management. Establish internal cross‑collaboration with teams such as AI R&D, Engineering, Solutioning, Platform, Data Engineering and Infrastructure to improve efficiency. Grow and develop a team of Product Managers, Business Analysts, Product Designers and Tech Managers, and improve their respective skillsets. What We Are Looking For: Minimum Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related disciplines. Minimum 10 years’ experience in the ICT domain with at least 6 years of practical experience in Product Management. Experience building products from conceptualisation into Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and operationalisation. Understanding of AI technologies will be ideal. Knowledge of multi‑tier architectures for AI/ML, Data Science and Data Analytics platforms in one or more cloud service providers will be ideal. Strong leadership with good interpersonal skills to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Experience leading and collaborating with multi‑agency teams. Strong understanding of Home Team Departments’ business and technical requirements and cognisance of AI domains such as Adversarial AI, Vision AI, Embodied AI, Language AI, Multi‑modal AI and Emerging AI. Self‑motivated, able to think strategically and translate strategy into implementation. High level of integrity. Clear‑headed under pressure and able to function well as a team player or individual. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. All new hires are appointed on a two‑year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
