The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for partnering with our existing customers, as well as prospecting and gaining new customers, in an assigned territory, country or region, providing them with personal customer service and solutions for the production of new materials and related products. Main Responsibilities Maintain quality relationships with current corporate accounts while simultaneously growing new customer pipeline to achieve annual sales and operating income targets. Effectively coordinate rollouts of products, trials, surveys, new chains, contract negotiation and execution, price adjustments, equipment installation, etc. Responsible for training and supervising customer production team to guide them achieving the optimal production outcome. Prepare proposal and strategy for the development of new business. Effectively manage reporting of new business opportunities and meet or exceed expectations for prospect calls. Work with the sales and corporate management of other divisions to optimize Thorb penetration within new business contacts. Build and maintain alliances with key distributors. Ensure distributor inventory is consistent with forecasted customer needs. Effectively communicate with all levels of management, including customer headquarters, distributor channels, and internal Thorb organization. Demonstrated thorough knowledge of ALL account SOPs and strong relationships with personnel and key management in the accounts. Advise customers on quality assurance & conduct customer site visits to help maintain smooth production flow. Maintain accurate customer service/activity records and provide monthly reporting. Other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in chemical science Availability for regular business travel Extensive business-to-business sales experience in chemical related industry Preferred Qualifications Excellent planning & organizational skills Strong relationship management capability with outstanding consulting skills Proven ability to deliver results & possess a strong competitive desire to become a top performer Mechanical skills with experience in mechanical installation and repair preferred Possessed multiple linguistic skills in both English and Chinese #J-18808-Ljbffr
