Sous Chef Opportunity

Job summary: We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic team. As a key member of the kitchen, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes.

The ideal candidate will have strong culinary skills, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to motivate and mentor kitchen staff. You will also be responsible for coordinating food preparation, managing inventory, and ensuring food safety and cleanliness standards are maintained.

As a Sous Chef, you will take full responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef, ensuring smooth operations and consistent quality. Your creativity and passion for experimenting with new ingredients and flavors will be highly valued as you work collaboratively with the culinary team to develop new menu items, seasonal specials, and tasting menus.

  • Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes;
  • Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate food preparation;
  • Manage inventory and ensure food safety and cleanliness standards are maintained;
  • Take full responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef;

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role;
  • Strong culinary skills and knowledge of Asian cuisine;
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills;
  • Creative flair and passion for experimenting with new ingredients and flavors;
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment;
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required;
  • Certificate of food hygiene course;
