Role Overview The Senior Account Manager at Mediatropy plays a crucial role in managing a portfolio of clients, overseeing the delivery of integrated digital marketing campaigns. The position entails not only managing complex client relationships but also contributing to new business efforts, and driving digital, media and creative strategy. You will mentor junior team members, work collaboratively with department leads, and contribute to shaping the direction of the agency's strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities Be an effective strategic consultant to clients: Be a T-shaped Account Lead for our local and regional clients who is able to advise client on marketing and creative strategies confidently. Be able to develop strategic proposals and lead complex conversations with senior level clients on budget, strategic directions, contract negotiation and proactive. Proficiency and proactive acumen for Project Management & Delivery: Develop and oversee digital marketing strategies that meet and exceed client objectives. Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of integrated marketing projects, including digital media, creative production, social media, and web development. Oversee project timelines, budgets, and workflows to ensure timely and efficient delivery, staying on budget. Lead costing and pricing of projects, ensuring that the cost is aligned with the time and resources required to deliver on the projects profitably. Lead multidisciplinary teams to execute campaigns, ensuring alignment and collaboration across creative, media, tech, and data departments. Ensure quality control of all deliverables, including proposals, media strategies, creative work, and technical solutions. Innovate and refine project management processes for greater efficiency and impact. Communicate frequently, empathetically and effectively with all stakeholders to facilitate ease of project delivery. Strong problem solving skills with a large dose of optimism: Display a track record of strong problem solving skills and the ability to be resourceful and creative under pressure. Display the ability to resolve conflict maturely and confidently with internal and external stakeholders. Display a thirst for personal growth and development. Client Relationship Management and Growth: Build and own client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor. Lead client meetings, presentations, and reporting sessions (daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly) to maintain alignment and connectivity. Set and manage client expectations effectively, ensuring project satisfaction and success. Identify growth opportunities within client accounts and propose additional services that meet their needs. Collaborate internally with teams across media, creative, and tech to ensure smooth and effective project execution. Act as a strategic consultant to clients, guiding them on digital marketing best practices. Leadership in Business Development & Pitches: Lead the development of new business pitches and proposals, working with internal teams to craft compelling solutions. Translate client briefs into clear, actionable tasks for internal teams, ensuring full understanding of client goals. Ask thoughtful questions during discovery sessions to capture all client needs and expectations. Guide the creation of pitch decks, collaborating closely with creative, media, and tech teams. Lead budget creation and project costing for pitches, ensuring financial viability and competitiveness. Respond promptly to new business leads and engage in client meetings to clarify project requirements and goals. Train and mentor junior team members and be a source of encouragement and positive example. Proactively develop strategic recommendations and creative solutions that address client challenges and drive new business. Collaborate with regional teams in media, strategy, creative, SEO, UX/UI, Data & Analytics and technology to craft multidisciplinary solutions. Provide constructive feedback on creative and strategic outputs, ensuring all work aligns with client objectives and KPIs. Leverage data and insights to inform digital strategies and enhance campaign performance. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously offer innovative solutions to clients. Requirements 5–7 years of experience in a digital/creative/media agency. Proven track record in managing large, complex accounts and leading successful integrated marketing campaigns. Expertise in media planning, social media, web development, and creative production. Strong understanding of digital media landscapes, metrics, and KPIs. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver impactful presentations. Proficiency in project management, including managing timelines, budgets, and resources. A strategic mindset, with the ability to see the big picture and detail-oriented approach to execution. Demonstrated leadership skills, including mentoring and guiding junior team members. Strong business acumen, with the ability to identify and capitalise on new business opportunities. High level of initiative and accountability, with a proactive approach to client service. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
