Overview Join to apply for the SS&P - Cost Engineer Mechanics - Singapore role at ASML . As a Cost Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing insight and driving down the costs of parts and complex modules by simulating production processes. You will also provide early definition of manufacturing process flows and product cost calculations during the design phase in collaboration with the development and sourcing competences. Responsibilities Serve as the go to expert for mechanical manufacturing and product costing. Drive down Cost of Goods (Parts & modules) by influencing design on manufacturability & costs. Early define Manufacturing Process Flows for manufacturability & Product Cost calculations during design. Provide adequate transparency in Product Costing for both technical costs and business uplifts. Create more value and cost down opportunities through deeper assessments of Factory Standard Costs and simulate Supplier & Supply Chain Costs. Collaborate with Development & Engineering competences, Sourcing and Supply Chain Engineering. Qualifications Master degree in an mechanical engineering discipline or equivalent experience. Experience with advanced manufacturing processes like CNC Milling, CNC Turning, Laser, E-Beam welding, additive (3D printing) manufacturing, precision mechanics vacuum, manufacturing automation / robotization, industrial 4.0 (operation data analyses). Knowledge of manufacturability of raw material manufacturing (e.g., stainless steel, titanium, casting, extrusion, high-end plastics) and vendor components market pricing and availability. Experience in reporting cost driver views, opportunities and risks. Understanding of supplier and supply chain manufacturing capabilities and their financial value streams.
