Senior Cost Management Specialist

This role requires a detail-oriented and analytical professional with strong experience in supply chain management, logistics, or transportation.

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving financial accuracy, cost optimization, and revenue growth across operations.

  • Oversight of cost control and revenue recognition within the supply chain and transportation business.
  • Management and review of vendor codes, ensuring proper allocation of costs and adherence to financial policies.
  • Variance analysis by comparing forecasts, budgets, and actual results, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Partnership with operations teams to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting of logistics costs.
  • Monitoring gross margin and profitability by customer, vendor, and lane to support decision-making.
  • Implementation of process improvements in financial workflows, cost tracking, and operational reporting.
  • Support for month-end closing, accruals, and reconciliations related to logistics and transportation costs.
  • Provision of actionable insights on financial performance to senior management and contribution to overall strategic planning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
  • 3-7 years of relevant experience in Operations Finance, ideally within supply chain management, logistics, or transportation.
  • Strong knowledge of cost control, revenue recognition, and variance analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with vendor management, vendor codes, and cost allocations.
  • Excel skills;
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across operations and finance teams.
