The RoleLead a team of Quality inspectors to expedite the completion of an ongoing project. Controls, manages and monitors the application of Quality management measures and systems across contracts/projects/regions in accordance with Wood quality policy, quality standard and agreed objectives. Ensures the effective implementation and maintenance of quality management systems, complying with ISO 9001 requirements where applicable. Report to contract/project or regional management on the performance of the quality within their designated business area and proposing solutions and continual improvement.
Responsibilities- Management of all aspects of quality across assigned business areas, including the supervision of assigned quality resources.
- Promote the awareness of quality management principles and provide advice and guidance to peers and colleagues.
- Effective quality planning to ensure quality budgets are established, the function is resourced and defined quality deliverables are produced in line with agreed timeframes.
- Resourcing of quality professionals with the appropriate quality experience and competencies.
- Ensuring direct reports are assessed as being competent for their allocated roles and coaching, mentoring and supporting their ongoing development.
- Understand and identify emerging stakeholder requirements and establish plans to address these.
- Ensure requirements of the Wood quality policy, quality standard and agreed objectives are communicated and complied with across the Business unit/grouping.
- Implementation of quality management system requirements, ensuring compliance with client requirements and/or ISO 9001 requirements.
- Provide support to the generation of proposals and tenders in relation to quality elements.
- Act as quality representative and interface with top management on all quality related matters.
- Engage client quality representatives regularly and act expediently on both positive and negative client feedback.
- Oversight, governance and implementation of all applicable quality related tools and applications.
- Ensure sufficient quality processes are deployed to manage product and service delivery.
- Manage audit and assurance programmes for the designated business area.
- Effective supply chain quality management including vendor capability assessments, performance monitoring and failure investigations.
- Manage, report and analyse data arising from non-conformance, corrective actions and other key quality indicators.
- Manage quality management system reviews and their outputs.
- Work across functions to identify continuous improvement and sharing of good practice.
- Undertake investigations of quality related failures.
- Actively participate in the wider quality network, offering and taking on good practices.
- Develop, manage and lead the project System Completion Turnover process.
- Degree/Diploma or local equivalent in quality management or related discipline (essential)
- Lead Auditor qualification by a recognized industry body
- Membership of CQI/ASQ or country specific
- Formal training in recognized root cause analysis techniques
- Relevant Singapore Ministry of Manpower Workplace Safety and Health trainings
- 10+ years relevant experience (preferably in the associated industry)
- Comprehensive understanding of ISO9001, ISO 19011 and Wood auditing protocols
- Proficient in the analysis of process and data
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- High level of communication skills in both written and spoken format
- Proficient in the use of continual improvement tools and techniques
- Proficient in cGMP requirements
