Expert Content Governance Specialist

Content Governance Expert
This role involves leading the development and implementation of policies that protect users and promote trust in our services. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify and address abuse cases across various Google services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Policy Development : Lead discussions on emerging regulations and their implications on content governance landscapes at Google.
- Content Operations Management : Manage content operations and drive escalations of sensitive government requests by liaising with Product, Public Policy, Communications, and Legal teams.
- Policy Implementation : Develop and launch policies and guidelines for handling volumes of requests based on different regional trends and legal issues.
- Escalation Management : Participate in on-call rotation schedule to manage escalations that may occur outside of standard non-work hours.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in a policy, legal, regulatory environment, content review, Trust and Safety, or technology environment.
- Fluent communication skills in Japanese and English to support client relationship management in this region.
- Ability to work non-standard, on-call rotation work hours, including weekends.
