Job Opportunity: Building Maintenance Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled building maintenance specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and carpentry work, with excellent knowledge of painting techniques and safety protocols.

This is a unique opportunity to work on various projects within a resort environment, including preventive and corrective maintenance, routine inspections, and repair works. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality and ensuring the aesthetic appeal of our facilities.

To succeed in this role, you must be a team player with excellent communication skills, a service-oriented mindset, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform regular checks on building systems, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry to identify any potential issues or needed repairs.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, providing solutions that meet the needs of our guests and staff.
  • Conduct thorough paint and finishing works, adhering to established safety procedures and using only high-quality materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, reporting recurring issues to management and implementing efficient solutions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve shared objectives, sharing expertise and best practices to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Diploma or certificate in a relevant field, such as mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in building maintenance, preferably in a similar resort environment.
  • Excellent understanding of building systems, painting techniques, and health and safety regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
