Tendering & Installation Engineer (Marine Cable Systems, Subsea)
Location: West Singapore / Open to Regional Travel

About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading global player in energy and cable solutions for a key role in the preparation and execution of installation proposals for large-scale subsea cable infrastructure projects. This role plays a pivotal part in the tendering process—analyzing project specifications, evaluating technical solutions, engaging with subcontractors, and coordinating closely with engineering, procurement, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate project documentation and develop tailored installation solutions for subsea power cable projects
    Interface with cross-functional teams (engineering, purchasing, legal, logistics, HSE, quality) to ensure solution alignment
  • Prepare installation scope documentation, technical write-ups, and project execution plans for tender submission
  • Conduct site visits and assess installation feasibility, logistics, and subcontractor capabilities
  • Support cost estimation and risk assessment related to cable installation activities
  • Coordinate and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure offer quality and compliance
  • Contribute to technical clarifications, client meetings, and handover of tender knowledge to project execution teams
  • Provide engineering support during the initial phases of project implementation and support lessons-learned documentation

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Degree-qualified in Engineering or other technical disciplines
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to simplify complex technical requirements
  • Exposure to subsea cable installation, offshore engineering, marine construction, or related industries is highly preferred
  • Experience with tendering/proposal processes including technical write-ups, subcontracting, and cost planning
  • Confident communicator, able to collaborate effectively with multiple departments and external parties
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and technical drawing software (AutoCAD, MS Project)
  • Willingness to travel regionally for site assessments and meetings when needed
