Position Summary:

  • We are seeking a highly qualified candidate to join our faculty as an Assistant or Associate Professor in Interactive Media and Design.

The successful candidate will contribute to the development and delivery of undergraduate and graduate curricula, as well as creative and scholarly research.

About the Position

This tenure-track position is a key appointment in the School of Art, Design and Media at Nanyang Technological University. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to shape the next generation of creatives and innovators.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to the development and delivery of undergraduate and graduate curricula.
  • Pursuing creative and scholarly research that enhances your international reputation in the field.
  • Teaching and supervising student-led research and creative projects from idea generation through to final execution and presentation at the tertiary level.
  • Examining the cultural and social implications of interaction design.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A terminal MFA or PhD degree in Interactive Media and Design or a related field.
  • A strong track record of scholarly research and creative activity in the field of interactive media and design.
  • Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas: interactive media design, creative immersive spaces installations and environments, virtual and augmented reality, narratives for interaction, machine intelligence and machine learning-based artworks, creative robotics and kinetics, media-based interventions in public spaces and architectures, and generative art.
  • A strong potential to bring international visibility to the school through academic scholarship and/or creative activity.
