Description What the role is: As Assistant Director in the Policy & Plans Division, Crisis Strategy and Operations Group (CSOG), you will lead a team to drive and maintain a structured oversight of CSOG-wide governance, engagement and communications initiatives to achieve CSOG's strategic outcomes in strengthening resiliency and response across healthcare crises and emergency scenarios. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time. What you will be working on: Governance and Communications- Drive and coordinate governance and corporate work planning for CSOG in line with the strategic objectives of MOH, including annual workplan and retreat, manpower resourcing proposals, and corporate slides for engagement with external parties. Plan and implement public communications and information coordination for cross-cutting issues across CSOG, including press releases and responses to parliamentary questions. During disease outbreaks such as COVID-19, plan and implement public communications and information dissemination to vaccination providers for mass vaccination operations, in accordance with MOH vaccination policy. Support capability development in engagement and communications, e.g., plan and organise stakeholder engagement platforms. Support engagement of stakeholders to finalise concept of operations by the Strategic Planning team. International Engagement- Map and monitor the effectiveness of CSOG's international engagements in the areas of emergency preparedness and response and healthcare supply chain, including bilateral/multi-lateral agreements and key fora. Establish channels for collaborations and mutual sharing with international counterparts on best practices in the areas of emergency preparedness and crisis operations planning. Act as MOH point-of-contact for activities under the ASEAN Regional Coordination Committee on Disaster Health Management (RCC-DHM) and ASEAN Institute for Disaster Health Management (AIDHM) to promote Singapore's collaboration with ASEAN member states in disaster health management, including academic and training initiatives. Staffing and Administration- Facilitate as a CSOG secretariat to staff key forums at the Ministry and Inter-Ministry level for corporate work planning and cross-cutting issues across CSOG. What we are looking for: Minimum 5 years working experience in the public sector, or relevant private sector related to healthcare, preferably with in a leadership role. Strong, analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. Experience in stakeholder engagement and public communications will be advantageous. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and interact at different levels. Able to build strong relationships and communicate effectively and persuasively with others, valuing their views and resolving differences amicably to achieve win-win outcomes. Excel in organisational skills, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task and strive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Display strong initiative, resourcefulness with minimal supervision. Display leadership and supervisory capabilities. As part of the shortlisting process for this role, candidates may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.
